It was the middle of July, and the heat made it feel like there were two, not one, suns in the sky. But it turned out they were sunflowers. Even after midnight, with the moonflowers trumpeting like morning glories, it was still too hot to sleep. It had to be the fault of those perky golden sunflowers.
