way to go.
Pysanki Eggs are my favourite Easter eggs, because I am not a big fan of the usual Easter pastels for my own BW interiors. I love the unusual and strong key colours of black, red and yellow of the traditional folk eggs. I adapted the artwork for the Anni Arts Pysanki Printable Crafts and the Pysanki Cut and Make Book for these mock patchwork quilt or pillow squares. The squares are 8 x 8 ". A pattern derived from the egg designs forms geometric squares behind the eggs for easy straight stitching. In my neck of the woods Easter is still very chilly and a Pysanki quilt is just what I am adding this year. There are additional coordinating repeat designs in my shop. Cocktail type napkins or a table cloth can carry the theme to the Easter table. Red or yellow Spring tulips look super with the eggs. The traditional folk eggs are made with the wax and dye resist method in which the eggs are dyed in sequential steps.
