I can count on one hand the number of family vacations I was included in, during my childhood. One of those was to the pre-gambling Atlantic City when I was about six. The wicker sedan chairs on the boardwalk were either pushed or pulled by men (usually on bicycles) rather than little propane motors. And every block had a tourist oriented candy store. I watched, through the glass window, as the employees made salt water taffy, rolling it, cutting it, and finally wrapping it in cut rectangles of waxed paper that they twisted on the two ends, to seal it in, to be clean. These are the colorful rows of salt water taffy with their oval centers, and violet wax paper twisted ends. (file n04g2a, #1059916)
