An english country toile telling the story of hop picking and other hop work throughout the year. I wanted a toile based this story but especially including the traditional hand picking of the past when so many people were involved. This story is made up of sketches and images from old family photographs and some I have taken. Each little cameo tells a different mini story. e.g. the little girls picking into an upturned umbrella which children often did before they were allowed to go to play. The 'hop dogs' they liked to find or the hop press we still use today. If you would like to see more of the hop story as it is today or have any queries please view my website www.absuhelofhops.co.uk If you would like any different size then please let me know and please feel free to sell anything you make from my fabric but please just tell folk that you got this fabric from Spoonflower.
