silver and Dusty Miller green. Ready for your letters!
1.cut out and sew 1/4 inch or just glue. You can decide how to finish them. Each has a From: and To: on front. 2. Cut on solid lines. If making a lining, use the original as a template. Fold under & sew along bottom of front and lining 3. Then with right sides together sew one side up and over top, making sure to go slowing if you want the curved edges, then down other side. 4. Turn inside right and iron. Making sure curves are out good. Two ways to finish: One: leave bottom open, you sewed a fold so edges are not raw. Fold up to under flap and top stitch sides but do not sew bottom this gives you two inside pockets. Two: sew the sides and the bottom for one interior. 5. If not using lining just do a pretty stitch around and leave raw edges shabby vintage look or fold under , and sew together. Sometimes I line with fabric scraps I have at home. Or line with old letters or cut out of old books that have been thrown away. Course you can not wash it then. Makes great gift idea or send real letters in them! **Just be aware that postal service says you need to put into a paper envelope to send. NOTE: photos show lace sometimes but you add whatever you like. Glue on or stitch on pretty things. I also do fancy stitches sometimes. On a top stitch around flap. Or sides. Have FUN! If you buy on a wider fat quarter you get four instead of three. Like lightweight cotton twill.
