involve sitting and watching my bluegill bobber.
I remember one time my dad caught two prize bluegill. These things were the size of dinner plates. Being young, I soon became bored of fishing and he let me entertain myself by playing with the fish that were already on the stringer. I named these two fine fish "Beauty, and Spot" (btw-- these are the same names I gave to my two favorite slugs that lived in our backyard.) When it came time to clean the fish, I looked at my dad with tears in my eyes. "You're not going to eat Beauty and Spot," I said reproachfully. That night, we have salad for dinner, but beauty and spot swam free. I like to think that the fish in this pattern capture their majesty. :) message me with special requests for sizing and/or colors!
