About the Design

Practice free motion quilting multiple designs in 42 blocks. Purchase 3 yards, quilt on the marked

lines, then connect to create a 48" x 56" quilt.

This is the cheater cloth panel designed by Leah Day as an alternative to piecing and marking the blocks in the Building Blocks Quilt Pattern. Purchase 3 yards of this fabric to get all 42 blocks. Cut them apart carefully leaving 1 inch of fabric all around to create 10 inch blocks. Baste each block with batting and backing fabric and start free motion quilting along the marked lines within each block. Alternative for longarm quilters - Leave this fabric in one solid piece and load it into your rail system and practice quilting on the lines and extra designs in the purple space between the blocks. This fabric also matches fabrics from Leah's Quilt Me! Fabric line. Just run a search for fmq to find all the fabrics here on Spoonflower!
