About the Design

This fabric is appropriate for a reproduction of Queen Jamilla's underdress. You just need one yard

of Organic Cotton Sateen to imitate the embroideries.

This fabric is appropriate for a reproduction of Queen Jamilla's underdress. Having made the very same dress with real embroideries (800,000 stitches!), I know how long it takes to make. So I designed this printed fabric which imitates the 800,000 embroidery stitches for underdress, collar and sleeve trims. You just need one yard of Organic Cotton Sateen to imitate the embroideries. Do not, I repeat, NOT use any of the fabrics that are more narrow than 56 inches for this print because then you will not end up with a full repeat for the underdress (and also without the collar embroideries!). Of course you could also buy several yards and create a long, all-around printed, "embroidered" dress. Find more fabrics featuring designs from "A Galaxy far, far away" in my ..in a galaxy far, far away... collection (http://www.spoonflower.com/collections/19577)! If you were always wondering how different colors print on the various fabrics that Spoonflower offers, please do have a look at my website where I have quite a few comprehensive photos of color swatches printed on various fabrics!
