babies with the option to add a peekaboo feature !
THE FUN OF PEEK A BOO has been with us since the 1500's as a children’s game which involved all the players except one covering their eyes while the other child hid behind a tree or other cover. On a signal, players would uncover their eyes and would try to find the hidden player....the fore-runner of “hide and seek” ! In England, the baby game of peek-a-boo was known by 1600, in which a parent or other playmate would amuse a baby by hiding behind a blanket, wall, or screen then continuously popping out while saying “peek-a-boo". My Peekaboo Petals Playmat design is a fun way to interact with babies and toddlers with it's engaging bright textured details and cute bees, three of which which can be hidden away under extra petals. It was inspired by a bee costume we devised for my eldest son at seven months for his cousin's fancy dress party...complete with a giant blossom floor cushion which proved ideal for playing and napping !
