Sweet greeting card images of the late 60's and early 70's, they bring back happy memories of my youth. They make me think of playing with my Barbie Dolls and my Fun Flower set. Those were simpler times where kids spent most of there time outside, flying kits, swimming at the beach and riding our bikes around the neighborhood with friends. The details on these kinds of cards inspired me to be creative. They often had three dimensional details added to them such as brightly colored feathers, yarn and glitter. As I put these images together I realized that they were direct inspirations for the collage art I make today; glitter, silk flowers, silk butterflies, feathers and other 3D details. I had fun creating this montage and a great time taking a walk down memory lane. I hope you like it too!
