downtown buildings in the background.
Kansas City is my hometown and we have a lot of pride here. We greatly enjoy our architecture and wide open green spaces within the city. We are known for our friendliness, arts, jazz, BBQ and sports. We used to be called a cow town in the early 1900's because of all the cattle drives to the area called the West Bottoms. Then we were deemed the City of Fountains, which we have a lot of in the Country Club Plaza area. Recently we have been named the Paris of the plains. All Kansas Citian's say that we are "Raised Royal", for our winning baseball team. We light up our Union Station with different colors depending on the event that is going on that day, for instance when the Royals won the series, it was all blue lights shining on the building, so I wanted to have this building in the forefront of our town skyline. The colors used in this design are mostly mint, aquamarine, turquoise, baby blue and cornflower blue, some tans and sand and rose quartz. #Palifino #RJArslanian
