Almost no waste & No guarantee that there is a human out there who would fit into it BUT can increase size by using 2 yards. Cut the black strip from the patterned area. There is a foot long part of the strip at the right that you detach to create a 6 inch deep pocket on one side of the skirt. That is also where you will open the skirt (I have used this kind of pocket opening often). The rest of the strip is to make the waistband. The patterned section has yellow lines to cut into segments. Flip the smaller wedges so that all the narrower ends are together (form the waist) and wider ends are together (form the hem). Stitch all the sections together with narrow seems, leaving a 6-inch section at the top of one panel so you can attach the pocket closure. Fold the 12 inch section and stitch face to face on the remaining 6-inches of the last panel. Fold inside and tack the tops. Stitch the waistband face to face to the patterned waist, fold over and stitch to finish. Finish overlaps with hooks; buttons or tie them. Hem the wider end. Note: you can adjust the waist to make it fit a smaller waist if desired by gathering or adding pleats. For larger waists (and hips), print a second yard and add more panels as needed.
