About this design:
The Monkey is ninth of the 12 animals in the recurring 12-year Chinese zodiac cycle, and 2016 is the year of the Fire Monkey, which occurs every fifty years! Anyone born in this year (or back in 1956) is said to be adventurous and ambitious. Give a big hoot for this week's winner Vo_aka_virginiao with her design, "Fruitful Year of the Monkey," and be sure to give a holler to the whole top ten!

The Chinese new year is always an exciting time and 2016, the year of the monkey, is no exception. Create your best year of the monkey-inspired design, and take part in this centuries-old celebration! Please note that design previews will be sized on a fat quarter size (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, January 19th, 2016. Voting will open Thursday, January 21st, 2016.

- Designs will be viewed as a Fabric on the voting ballot. Acceptable repeat options for this challenge are Basic, Half-Drop, Half-Brick, Mirror, Center.
- Public designs previously uploaded on Spoonflower.com are not eligible for this contest. Designs do not require printed proofing to enter the contest.
- The popular vote determines the top 10 winning designs. Voters include Spoonflower artists and customers as well as the public.
