About this design:

In celebration of Pantone’s 2025 Color of the Year: Mocha Mousse we challenge you to create luxurious-feeling fabric designs with an upholstery use-case in mind.

Details

For this official Pantone x Spoonflower Design Challenge, we invite you to create a fabric design well suited for upholstery featuring Pantone’s Color of the Year 2025: Mocha Mousse, and the Subtle Contrasts color palette. Your design will be displayed on an accent chair for voting, so think carefully about scale and repeat.

(Pro-tip: Thinking about coordinating your fabric entry with your oversized wallpaper design entry 😊 to create a seamless shopping experience for consumers!)

An Important Note About Your Entry

Artists must:

Use Mocha Mousse in their design as well as one or more supporting colors from Pantone’s Subtle Contrasts palette.

Artists can:
Incorporate tints of the colors in this palette. A tint is a lighter version of the color (original color + white) without changing the saturation.
Use gradients and textures.

Introduce new colors, black and white or darker shades of the colors featured in the palette.
