Poly Crepe de Chine & maybe chiffon would give a denser print than that on the cotton voile, which was then the lightest cotton fabric available (7th thumbnail above - double click for a clearer view - shows differences in transparency depending on under-surface, lighting & shadows). Design inspired by a scrap of ancient Egyptian textile, however some see a more modern style (similar to a designer who cannot be mentioned, starts with 'M' ends with 'O').
