This composition was inspired by Afro-Caribbean carvings passed down to us through the family, and by my grandmother's stories about her childhood in Antigua, BWI. The birds and botanicals are inspired by those influences, and the clouds are inspired by East Asian decorative arts. The repeat area of this design fits within 24" W (2 ft) x 72" L. (6 ft) and has a border along the bottom edge.
