Description:

Hand painted gouache botanicals from the Pacific Northwest coastal region, featuring deciduous and evergreen trees, florals, botanicals, & sea plants. These gouache paintings were done as part of a 100 Day Project, one painting a day for 100 days. They are based on the plants featured in the book “Saanich Ethnobotany: Culturally Important Plants of the WSANEC People” (Saanich is a region in Victoria, British Columbia). Some of the paintings were done on pages of vintage forestry and flora reports and books. Most of these plants and botanicals are found all along the Pacific Northwest coast, including Vancouver Island and the Vancouver Lower Mainland region, Washington State, and Oregon State. For a "map" of what each plant is, please message me.
