A beautiful, melancholy folk tale evocative of Dartmoor. Kitty Jay was a young girl who killed herself and was buried in an unconsecrated grave. To this day fresh flowers are always found on her grave but no one knows who does this. I hope I have conveyed the essence of both Dartmoor and Kitty Jay. This link will take you to a song called Kitty Jay by Seth Lakeman, he will tell you the sad tale.
