All the designs I do somehow come out as fabric designs. They may start as photos, drawings, embroidery, dye-painted fabrics, batiks or virtual batiks, or even typography, but they all lead to fabrics. Often they are Art Nouveau or William Morris inspired

Fabric designs made from finely carved fabric stamps from Japan (carved in India), or delicate traditional Japanese fabric stencils. In traditional indigo or brown and white colors, plus colors sampled from Japanese fabrics and furoshiki. Plus my hand-drawn coordinates, some inspired by Japanese stencil designs.
