This is my popular You're So Vain design adapted to the Birds Contest Palette. I didn't use the black. I used the color changer on Spoonflower to change the colors to the given white, light blue and the fourth color of our own choosing - in this case, peacock teal! There is the effect of gradients, but it is truly only 3 colors as spoonflower's own system proved! Available already in many other shades, and I can create what you need by request!

peacoquettedesigns says: Why, thank you, Jenzil! I will batch proof it in the quilting cotton as that is most economical - but I hope someone orders it in the cotton silk and shares what it looks like with me! I do love the swatch I got for Free Swatch Day in the cotton silk for my rose collection. Compared to the cotton in the same print - it is just lovely!

jenzil says: THis is a very elegant design, Sarah. Wouldn't it look beautiful in shimmering, sinuous silk!

peacoquettedesigns says: Thank you so much, Verity! I really appreciate it. I think I am going to try a version all in silvers, too.

veritybrown says: In spite of the palette limitations, I think I prefer this combination to the more brightly colored variants of this design. And it is certainly my favorite design in the contest.

rhondadesigns says: This tonal study of the peacock feather detail has an air of night-time mystery about it. You have used the limited palette very cleverly, Sarah!
