construction, but tricky to layout.
There are half a dozen traditional quilt patterns with puzzle names. Generally they are simple in construction, but a little tricky to get the light and dark colors arranged correctly, and when repeated give interesting complex patterns. This is a cheater quilt pattern based on the traditional block Yankee Puzzle. The change I have made here uses more than one background (light) color, creating a secondary pattern. I tried a couple of printed-fabric versions, but liked this plain color, Amish-style version the best. The actual block centers on the black pinwheels. There is a fine spiral quilting line added.
