colorway celebrates Steel Blue.
When I look at it, I think of cornflowers that are starting to fade, a burnished steel, the sky when you know a storm is brewing. You will see color ranging from the palest dusty blue, to deep, dark shades that are nearly black. This version of Birds of a Feather is more closely related to the original painting which inspired the collection. You may view the painting here: http://mary-wykes.pixels.com/featured/morning-has-broken-mary-wykes.html - Several years ago the painting won an Honorable Mention in a juried international show sponsored by the Society of Watercolor Artists of Fort Worth, Texas. * * * Primarily, I see this design used for tote bags, upholstery and drapes. I can also see it used for both sporty and elegant clothing, depending on the fabric chosen. * * * If you need it in another size, just send me a message through the link in the left hand column. * * * Happy sewing! * * * copyright Mary K Wykes 4-1-16
