"Beautiful Belgian Draft Horse" in smaller scale. A few years back, my old boyfriend and I went to the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona. We were admiring the beautiful Budweiser Clydesdale horses when I wandered into the stables and saw one of the most beautiful and massive creatures I have ever seen ~ a Belgian Draft Horse! It had a grayish-brown and soft white speckled coat (I'm sure there is a name for this type of coat, but I have no idea what it is!). I could barely move, I was so in awe of this horse! I wanted so badly to reach out and touch him (hence, the girl in the drawing reaching out to touch). I felt so tiny next to him! My boyfriend finally had to pull me away, as I could not stop staring at this lovely animal. That horse definitely made an impression on me! I also remember feeling sad that such a breath-taking animal was in a stable and not out free to roam and graze on our flatlands, or free in it's homeland Belgium! Alas....in any case, what a beauty that I will never forget.
