'Midsummer Serenade' is inspired by Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream. Here in Act 3, Scene 1 we see Ass- headed Bottom lifting up and serenading a besotted Tatiana (woken from her flowery bed) while Puck dances gleefully in his mishievousness! Tatiana is attended by two of her fairies, Peasebottom and Cobweb, who have been instructed by her to "pluck the wings from painted butterflies to fan the moonbeams from his sleeping eyes"
Being a lover of butterflies, I decided to feature Butterflies fluttering to freedom in a continuous wavy line throughout the fabric. I hope you like it! Thanks for looking! :)
This design is also available in 'Midsummer Melody', a red and blue version and I have designed a pink version called 'Midsummer Harmony'
which you can see by clicking on 'designs not for sale' at my shop page. I hope to have this available for sale next month.
