Description:

This line-up isn't ready to fly the coop. Happy chickens roosting, each in their own nest cubby, can fill an entire barn.

Start a trend -- rural industrious chic! Staple it to farm market tables for a kids' play area. Wallpaper short-people space in hospital pediatric halls. Help customers find the dairy dept in a small store. Perk up a breakfast restaurant with washable decals. Paint preschool cubbies in these colors, and line the sides with roost wallpaper or decals. It carries a message of harmony with diversity, and people belonging in their own place within a society; so it can be used in many places where you want to encourage cooperation and respect. The boxy pattern can be continued up and down to fit your spaces.

wren_leyland says: Great idea, Elizabeth -- especially those close-to-the floor borders for toddlers, and play areas. Yesterday we visited a playground of wooden buildings made to look like a town. A play library had shelves of real books and a book drop. A fire hall had a pole and bell to ring. Someone could make a barn!

wren_leyland says: Thanks everyone! My method was to first overwork it with so many objects and chicken versions that it looked atrocious ... then edit before the contest closed. Bantam-mania.
