Description:

Part of what makes Emma timeless is its crisp focus on relationships, and very little attention to physical details... This project is a thrilling fusion between regency and my small world. Thanks for checking out my little study.

motyka says: Hi Shirley! I originally set this one up on the golden mean, so there is a quiet spiraling movement to the composition. All the superficial that Emma stresses over reminded me a bit of a hat in the wind, and I liked the way the setting always changed scenes without giving too much description to the land or physical attributes of characters. I'm glad you enjoy the piece, I guess it is a lot like mosaics, breaking down and re-purposing without loosing original form. Thanks so much for the feedback.

koalalady says: I love this! I was wandering through your designs and this one hit me-the color the arrangements of the pieces and in my case I see tiles as I'm becoming very interested in mosaics .I particularly like how you approached the subject ,reading the book and letting the ideas take hold. I have been taking a break from commenting ,not that I am always good about it but when I start I can't stop. Thanks for following me and I would like to follow your work too,I can see many more lovely designs in your future. :-)

motyka

motyka says: Thanks Rhonda. When I read books for fun chapters feel like quilt pieces, and at the end the author always seems to sew it all together. This was actually a great parallel project for me while I was reading the book (something I should do more often).
