Description:

A jigsaw-like tessellation of a duck-billed platypus.

A jigsaw-like tessellation of a duck-billed platypus. The current, single-hue colouring scheme preserves the underlying glide symmetry in one direction but the presence of head vs tail features destroys the mirror reflections.

Currently displaying relatively natural earthy tones of platypus, all squirming up the page. Other colours, stylings, sizes and orientations are available on request and you can even ask for a combination of several designs together.

victori...

victorialasher says: I agree, cute; and I'm always a fan of tessellations, even if the mirror reflections have been destroyed. Perhaps another top ten here.

sef

sef says: You don't need to apologise for finding a platypus to be cute! :-D Anyone is entitled to have their own opinion over whether or not something is cute. But I didn't do anything to the platypus in the image to specifically make it cute (kawaii or whatever). It's going to be an intrinsic feature of the platypus itself (in the minds of individual viewers).
