I've been playing around with the Victorian graphics available through the Graphics Fairy blog, and loved how this came out. I was going for a Victorian look, but ended up with something that reminds me of the wallpapers my grandma selected in the early 1940s to re-decorate a farm house that's been in the family since the mid-19th century.
I can definitely see this as kitchen or dining room wallpaper.
I'd love to use this wallpaper design in my kitchen, but it doesn't have the proportions to pull it off (ideally this paper should be used in a large room). As a kid, I always liked the bright colors and bold patterns of those old wall papers and as an adult, I can really admire the boldness it takes to do up an entire room in something like this.
For the more timid or people with smaller living spaces, this could accent a room in the form of place mats or linen towels or something.
