Seamless, mock-embroidery Elizabethan Blackwork.
This kind of fabric would have been used for sleeves, cuffs, partlets and chemises.

I do recommend ordering this design in either cotton silk or silk crepe de chine; but please order a swatch before ordering larger amounts since the colors tend to print slightly differently depending on the fabric the design is printed on.
