I was inspired by the photograph of the cobblestones. It reminded my how life finds a way to grow even in the most hostile environments. Every year these pretty little flowers manage to pop up all over our yard, even between the bricks on the patio, the last place you would expect to see them. It reminded me of the way the Textile Center described the on going construction in their neighborhood. Despite the chaos, there is beauty. You just have to look for it! I took the photo, put it into repeat and used it as a template to paint the cobblestones behind the Johnny Jump Ups. My little girl wandered all over our yard last year yelling "look Mummy! More Jumpy Bump Ups!!"
