In my other life, I'm a printmaker, and I love making woodblock prints. My friend, an entomologist, suggested I do a series of moths, so I did four prints, and this Sphinx moth was my first. I loved how the texture of the wood mimicked the moth scales and fuzz, and I love how it looks on fabric, too, repeated over and over. In my printmaking, I'm drawn to graphic shapes on a white background, and I love the same effect on fabric.
