A border design with an 'embroidered', metallic appearance.. A similar, but 'real' embroidered metallic border was used on Queen Apailana's kimono.

In case you're not familiar with Spoonflower, note that the fabric isn't really metallic and / or embroidered. It's just printed with solid, non-metallic colors made to look as if it was embroidered with metallic threads.

I recommend ordering this fabric in Organic Cotton Sateen, which has an appealing sheen (not as strong as what you'd probably know from 'satin'), or in Cotton Poplin, which is matte. Also, the colors will print very well on those two fabric types.
