This image was cut off in the linking, but shows the lanyard clip sewn onto the silk crepe de chine scarf. Since the back of the fabric was slightly lighter, I folded over to stitch instead of hand-rolling; this gave a sturdier look which seemed important for a lanyard scarf.
I tea-dyed the silk crepe de chine to create warm cafe au lait-tones, using hot tea, and the digitally-printed dyes proved to be set well. Then I hand-stitched scarves and a lanyard, sewed on lightweight beads and a lanyard clip, and brass buttons for easier fastening and ready-to-wear convenience.
