Lucky LOLcat is asking "Can I has Red Envelope, Please?" It's customary during Chinese New Year celebration to give red envelopes to children, unmarried young adults and older adults filled with cash gifts called "angpao". Lucky is so adorable asking for his red envelope! The red "envelope" reads "Gung Xi Fat Choi" which is a traditional Chinese salutation during the New Year.

This design is from my Chinese New Year collection. Ricky Rabbit holds a banner which says "Gung Xi Fat Choi" while a banner flies overhead bearing the Chinese character for "rabbit". Other designs in the collection include Oscar the Ox and Teenie the Tiger and Lucky LOLcat.

You have sparked my curiosity and my imagination is in overdrive! The thought of aristocratic ladies wearing panniered gowns AND skates boggles the mind! I do like how you have echoed the colours and shape of the antique chair in that of the skates.

This is based on a childrens' story titled "Rococo Skates" that I read as a young girl. Every time I hear the term "Rococo", I think of that story.
