Spoonflower and Robert Kaufman Fabrics are looking for eight fabric collections from designers the world has yet to discover. One of the eight finalists will have a chance to start a new career as a professional textile designer. The theme of this contest is Pen & Ink/Watercolor-inspired fabric designs. This is the semi-final round of the contest, in which the public will have a chance to vote for its favorites among 100 entries hand selected by judges from RKF and Spoonflower from a pool of over 750 entries. Fabrics will be previewed at the scale of a fat quarter (21" x 18"). Voting starts on May 3, 2012. Read details on the Fabric8 Contest web site.
