Yes, I have already run into that. Even my hand drawn rather than computer generated TARDIS fabric designs (save one, so far, which only has a tiny peak of hand drawn police box) have all been removed. The BBC has trademarked the police box, sadly, as this makes it hard to walk the fine line between fan-art and something they feel steps on their intellectual rights.
I like this very basic Damask which is evocative of the huge damask wallpaper from the popular detective show, but it is not a direct copy. If it's too close, well, I guess we'll see. That said, it is nice to know that damask prints and colorways, in general, are not yet subject to copyright. ;-)
I agree,lovely design, Slee!
A word of caution to all though. Spoonflower removed two of my tardis inspired designs yesterday. They were deleted from my shop without notice due to a clerical slip up I was told. The designs were my original work using my photo of a "blue box" cookie jar that I had given my son. I was told the BBC felt several designers here were potentially violating their copyrights. I NEVER would do such a thing intentionally.I have great respect,as I'm sure all of you do,for an artist's work.Again, just a word of caution. It would be such a loss to lose this great design too ! Good luck.
I would say get rid of all the men and replace them all with women but then Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann and that goofy politician from Arizona, (Janet something I think) happened and I decided to watch what I wished for. lol
