I was very disappointed in this fabric. The background color looks navy, but it's really more purple. I had purchased it per a client's request and she did not like it so we used something else. (I see from the note above that the color as been adjusted to be more true Navy, but I guess I got an older lot.) I decided to wash it and try to use it in another project. But there are lines all over the fabric where it looks like it faded. I am not sure if I can use it now.
Yes, I have a comment on this fabric that warns people that the navy does appear on the purple side when printed on some of the spoonflower fabrics. I have a second collection called Nautical Baby - Color Update. This version appears closer to a gray/blue based Navy. Sorry if you missed the warning on the design. I hope Spoonflower remedies your issues to your liking. Thank you, EM.
I rec'd my fabric today, and yes this is def purple. I was commissioned to make some nursery items in a whale motif using colors of Aqua, navy and grey. Although the whales are grey, the coordinating dot fabric the dots are more of a peachy color instead of grey. I too have an email into spoonflower. This fabric is too expensive to not be as pictured!
emysue, I got it printed on the basic combed cotton and it is def. purple... imagine my shock when i opened the package.. we are going navy, white and teal/turquoise in my grandson's nursery. I also have an email into spoonflower.. thanks for your response.
trsameados, I am so sorry it wasn't what you expected. May I ask which fabric you had it printed on? I designed it for my mother to use in a quilt for my sister and her prints turned out to be navy on the Kona Cotton. I will see if I can get Spoonflower to correct the color if there there is an issue with the printing.
