What a fun design. Do you have a finished photo? Just a suggestion; Cotton sateen makes a lovely skirt. The fabric is 56" wide which allows for a couple larger sizes. I add a lining to my skirts which just requires two pieces cut of lining fabric and attached at the waistband after the zipper is installed but before the waistband. I make all my skirts that way.

This was set up to print on the sateen which is wider than some of the others, so if you look at that view, you can see the full design. It has 7 panels. Because it is designed to be a wrap skirt, you want to have at least one panel overlap, so that's why an odd number. This number of panels will make a skirt that fits a size 2-4 or so - wrap skirts are pretty flexible.

This is great! The mosaic effect in the design is really neat up close, and the wider the fabric and/or the longer the yardage, the more gores or panels you can have in the skirt... is it optimised for a particular width/ length or a work in progress? (I don't seem to get the even no. of gores that I'd expect) A great idea, whatever!
