This design is a repeat of trains which persistently aren't there. An invisible train sometimes runs on our line. With the barriers down there is no other sign. So we wait at the crossing with nothing in view. When the gates go back up then we know it's been through. Yet it isn't as though there are no trains around; for we've seen quite a few going by, making sound. These are trains with but one carriage, rarely with two; or with testing equipment, containers or crew. It is harder to say what the train we can't see might be pulling along with it. What could it be? If it runs to a schedule it's one I've not seen - an invisible time-table somewhere, I mean. As the signal lights flash and the sirens give sound and the barriers start to descend to the ground, There is nothing to do but to wait and to strain for some sign it is *not* the invisible train. … See my profile index or tags for similar designs: • train (http://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/sef?shop_selection=tag&tag=train) • poem (http://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/sef?shop_selection=tag&tag=poem)
