sef

sef says: It wasn't that high - not even quite in the top 10%. Though it wasn't separated from the top 10 by very many votes.

annosch says: Love your tesselation idea which you implemented very well, I think!

sef

sef says: Thank you. Though, as I already mentioned somewhere or other, this design mostly exists because *I* want it. The Spoonflower contest just happened to come along at the same time as I'd discovered this US website and company at all. I've been trying unsuccessfully for years in the UK to get the original made into cloth and then clothing. My initial samples should be crossing the Atlantic about now.

sef says: @ thatswho [Assuming you're talking about the photos to which I linked]: Perhaps. They certainly don't get a lot of light down there, most of the time.

rhondadesigns says: This interesting tesselating pattern makes a wonderful abstract fabric design.

sef

sef says: I do like Escher's stuff - but often prefer the starting tesselations to the picture transformation involving them.

inscrib...

inscribed_here says: This design is very clever and appealing. The squid are just as I prefer them - heavily stylised!

sef

sef says: If you see the real thing, eg here, it has quite a scary sphincter-operated eye.
