This is scanned from an embroidery I made, which was inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry meme. I saw pictures similar to this online and thought, "I've been embroidering since I was 6 years old. I bet I could do that using the original 11th century sewing techniques." For almost a year, I carried this piece with me, mostly working on it during down time on various movie sets (I'm a movie star... er... background artiste). Originally, this was going to be just for me. I was going to make it into a pillow and keep it forever and ever. I even joked with a friend that I'd still have it with me on my death bed it took so long to make. Then another friend suggested selling copies of it online. I thought, "well, I don't know, a high quality scan would cost a lot... better make it a Kickstarter." So now it's available for people who want re-prints, and it became so popular that I'm working on an art show based on this piece! This one is close to the original size.
