Post apocalyptic toile, design challenge entry - I didn't want to be all doom and gloom with this fabric. The skull and ruin represent death and destruction but everything else portrays how life goes on. Rats are born survivors (living underground and scavenging for food) and creepers grow pretty much anywhere. The trees are bare but birds still land on them and find somewhere to build their nests. The steampunk bird shows nature adapted where necessary and the web is made by one of nature's best builders. Time still carries on going but the clock has broken glass to show that timing would be less important and life would have a slower pace. Schedules and planning and rushing around would take a back seat while people concentrated on daily survival and rebuilding. The heart shows that where there's life there's hope, and love would still remain.
