I really liked the idea of the organic look of watercolor with the harshness of the circular saw blade. I worked out the design in Illustrator then opened it in Photoshop to alter the blade. I chose a section of blue watercolor from one of my husband’s cartoon finishes (http://www.pcvey.com/), created a swatch and used that as a fill for the blades. I was really happy with the horizontal stripes created by the light and dark edges of the blue watercolor swatch and tried to exaggerate that difference adjusting the image in Photoshop. I left the white horizontal lines I created in Illustrator on top of the blue to try to create a more organic woven feel. Please message me if you'd like this design in a different size.
