About the Design

Wolfy Red is an original cut and sew design painted by Selina Fenech. One fat quarter is the full

doll design.

-------------- MEET WOLFY RED The link to the full instructions for how to make this doll is printed on the pattern. Instructions include photos and details, and the pattern is fairly easy to make! One fat quarter is the full doll design. DIY Darlings are precious dolls that are as wonderful to look at as they are to make. This Do It Yourself doll project is fun to sew and you will fall in love with your DIY Darling as the doll comes to life before your eyes! Which fabric to choose? For a soft, plushy feel, Performance Velvet is a great choice. It's relatively easy to work with, although it is a thick fabric. The prints look beautiful on it and it's a delightful soft feel, doesn't fray (although will have some fluff while cutting!), and turns fairly easily. It has just a little stretch (unlike Celosia Velvet which is thicker and stiffer). If you want a more cotton ragdoll feel, Organic Cotton Sateen is my pick. It's a nice thin fabric with just a little stretch that makes it easier to turn out and stuff nicely than some of the stiffer cottons (e.g. Lightweight Cotton Twill which I find a bit trickier to turn out). If you have a favourite fabric that you are used to working with, of course feel free to choose it! However I don't recommend using Fleece as an option. It is wonderful and soft, but has a lot of one-way stretch that could mean your doll gets very distorted when stuffing.
