It is a mystery why the Dwarf Minke doesn't mind the company of people. Perhaps it is like us: perhaps it thinks we are a very curious whale.
The Dwarf Minke whale has a special connection with the Great Barrier Reef. It is an extremely inquisitive and social visitor to the reef every winter, but apart from this we know very little about it. In fact, it was only discovered here in the 1980s, yet in that short time it has become an integral part of the reef's swim-with-whales experience.
What we do and how we do it.
