Pouting, tantrums and sneaky innovation are a few of the results you will find when trying to tell a child Brussels sprouts are yummy. I know I was amongst the sneakiest vegetable fake out artist ever. I had plenty of ways to remove vegetables from my plate without actually eating them. The most famous of them was not discovered until years later when I was already a young adult eating most of those vegetables I hated then. It was the trick I used at Granny's house. In my grandmother's dining room there was a book shelf right behind one of the chairs and I would always position myself in that chair. There was a set of encyclopedias within reach under the table and since grandma liked to have a nice linen on the table my actions could go on unnoticed. I hid my vegetables in the pages of the books. Apparently no one ever looked any thing up in the encyclopedias as this wasn't discovered until I was in my early twenties when my grandmother moved. As karma would have it I am now trying to get my grandkids to eat their vegetables to much the same results. lol This is my 2014 tea towel design contest entry. I will also be putting the design without the calendar and one with just the vegetables on the market soon for more fun kitchen stuff. This design will print at 300 dpi.
