As you would expect - from his 'non de plume', that is your actual French for Nick-name, he lived in a kitchen and slept in a very old enameled saucepan. The kitchen was in a house where the people had moved out many years before and it had been left - a capsule in time - so there was no fear of anyone accidentally turning on the stove and cooking him while he slept! After a good night's sleep he would get up - bright eyed and bushy tailed - as all good rabbits do, and get him self washed and dressed in his best hat and carefully pin a small leek - when in season - to his fur coat. In the early spring he'd wear a daffodil of course. Oh, did I forget to mention he was a Welsh Rabbit - I am sorry! Each day he would eat carrots - his favourite food - and if he could have five, his favourite number, well then he was a very Happy Bunny!
