About the Design

The board and pieces for a game invented by my son.

My 14-y-o son created a board game when he was ten, and we still play it on occasion. I decided it was time to upgrade us from our cardboard-and-sharpie (http://www.flickr.com/photos/weavingmajor/3000341848/) gameboard. Two gameboards and two sets of playing pieces are available on a swatch of the wallpaper to be used to cover chipboard or wood gameboards or playing pieces. The checkered playing surface measures 6.5" wide by 8" tall; designed to be affixed onto any board (6.5" to 8") by (8 to 10") with extra to wrap around the board onto the back. The game pieces are approximately .75" width. Nicer pieces are available at Shapeways, here (http://www.shapeways.com/model/1052192/). We are planning on taking this game to Protospiel (http://www.protospiel.org/) this summer. And unless the experts there don't recommend it, we will post rules, after they are fine-tuned at the conference in July.
