This is my entry in the African inspired fabric contest This image was created as a peaceful prayer. I took blessings from 5 different religious practices that all pertained to the pursuit of peace and doodled the words entwined upon each other. I then cut the image up into 4 pieces that represent the 4 directions, north south, east and west and created several fabrics from each of the 4 directions. Not only do you get a fun letter fabric but the blessings that I put there for you. Here I have manipulated those images into primitive like patterns to further explore the idea and expand on the theme which is One World, One Love, Let's get together and feel alright.
