About the Design

An all-American slice of old fashioned art nouveau vines and spades and hearts and swirly curlies, ready for the fourth of July (and the fifth, and sixth, thanks to the orange, and purple, and pink, and lavender that joins the red, white, and blue). Colors are crisper and brighter on my monitor than in print. The red has more orange in print and the blue outlines are more subdued. If you are expecting the same intensity as on the screen, you might be disappointed. It doesn't look at all bad in print, just slightly different. (file j94a3, #1681249) The boring fine print (that is actually the same size as all the other print): The size (scale) you see displayed in all Spoonflower offerings is actually only a suggestion. In my case it is the size I personally wanted for my eight inch proof of the design. Because this is custom printing designs can be made in any (technically possible and reasonable looking) size. You can even order the same design in two sizes, such as a yard of big and a yard of small, to use together. This does take communication and co-ordination with the artist. But do not think that the scale you see on the screen is the only way the design comes. If you need tiny and the design is big, or the reverse, you can buy a design you like that way. The keyword 2084 has been entered on most of this artist's abstract and geometric designs for use in the search block. )
